Maybe this was a bad idea on my part. First off, I have a strange prescription with a lot of astygmatism in one eye. I have worn the same pair of glasses for about 8 years and they are getting old. I found some nice Ray Ban frames at Lenscrafters that fit my face well. I researched the price online and the cheapest I could find was through the AAFES for around $200 because of the more expensive lenses. Then I started to check out other websites because there are many discount eyeglass retailers online. I would imagine that they are able to keep prices lower because there are not as many options. There were a bunch of them that do not even allow for large astygmatism corrections.
After searching through a bunch of companies, I opted for Zenni Optical because of the low prices and the ability to change lenses to get what I needed. I looked at a ton of frames and was tired of looking at them. I finally narrowed down a few of them and picked one. Well, being able to personally try on a pair of glasses makes a huge difference. I received them in the mail today and they are huge on my narrow face. It's like having skis sticking off the side of my face. My daughter bumped into them a couple of times, probably because she did not expect them to be there. I am not sure what to do. I can return them for a 50% discount or I can use them as a backup to my already backup quality pair.

Side Jobs
Success stories? Not exactly. I have been in school so long that a real job seems to be a distant reality. Even so, my career path is fairly straight forward and I am already committed for the next four years. It is the sweet side job that I periodically stew over trying to make it big on a new idea. I found a website the other day that listed a bunch of possibilities. I like the suggestions but I am still holding out for the one idea that will actually work. I cannot decide if I am a realist or a dreamer.
